Overview

Time, energy, and space for healing is just as essential as the physical food, water, and breath that sustains us. Historic, cultural, community, ancestral-transgenerational, and personal present-day experiences can contributed to ongoing stress, distress/duress, emotional wounding/pain, and trauma. Daily life situations, finances, and crises related to our nation or the world can drain/deplete our mind, body, and spirit as well as affect our interactions and relationships. The strain of our emotional-mental, metabolic, hormonal, and general biophysiology functioning increases imbalance, dysregulation, inflammation/physical pain, weakened/impaired immunity, vulnerability to stress-related chronic health conditions. 

People often experience increased:

  • feelings of overwhelm; heightened sensitivity, sensory overload
  • tiggering, resurfacing of unhealed trauma
  • sadness/depression, grief/sense of loss
  • anxiety/worry, anger/rage
  • feeling unsafe (fear, stress/trauma responses; distress, helplessness, hopelessness +)
  • eating and sleep changes
  • fatigue/exhaustion; difficulties completing daily tasks/responsibilities

Health, wellbeing, and vitality/prosperity was dependent on healing relationships.
